Disso woes

So as I’m third year, I now have to write a disso (sad times)) and mine is on education in Chemistry as I previously mentioned. So I am having to make some snazzy vids for all the little freshers to learn from! Although one slight hiccup is that I’M USELESS WITH TECHNOLOGY. Which I admit, is a major flaw when I have to make a really pro looking video. Am having to get to grips with all kinds of new tech and to be honest, 95% of the time I literally have no clue what I’m doing.

But I kinda think that’s what doing a disso is about. Bumbling around having little clue until BAM, you have a breakthrough or something clicks and you realise yes, I can write a fair bit about this seemingly uninteresting topic.

The best thing about the disso for me is that you are marked on keeping a diary which is fab as I can never remember anything so spend my life writing stuff people say to me on random scraps of paper. So at least that part of me is already sorted.

Am currently sat at a computer screen trying to make my title zoom around the screen in an exciting fashion. Have drank 3 coffees and swore fairly profusely, yet no movement yet hmmm. Hopefully, will get to grips with this software or else the little chemistry bambinos will have no video and I will have no project.

Shall keep pottering away to make this (somewhat) successful

Until next time,

About Katie

Hello, my name is Katie and I am a final year Chemistry student (yes, can't quite believe it myself!) I will be blogging about what I get up to in the Chemistry department and how to balance workload with sport. When not in lectures, even though it does seem like we spend all our time in them... I'll be either in the gym/ out at Mosh/O2 spending money on countless VKs (obviously tropical/ orange as green VKs are horrid!) I am also both dyslexic and dyspraxic, so will give an insight on what it's like and what you can do if you too have been diagnosed with a specific "learning difficulty" of similar nature.
