It’s been a while, and a lot has happened…mostly to my eating habits, as my calorie count has gone through the roof. Happy holidays everyone, I hope everyone is having a lovely time, whether you celebrate Christmas or not. It’s been great being back home, but also extremely busy, so to start off I thought I’d tell you what I’ve been up to.
I left to go home on the 16th of December, and time has really flown since then, purely due to catching up with the friends and family I haven’t seen in months. On the 23rd of December I turned 20 years old, which I personally think is a very weird age to be; I’m not a teenager, but have not entered the ‘official adult’ category of 21, but I think I’ll embrace that feeling for now! Then it was Christmas, and as Christmases go, it was a pretty good one, filled with food and family so I couldn’t really ask for more. In between all this I’ve been socializing and working on my essays due in January. I’m extremely glad to not have any exams for this semester, as I’m not one for pressurized situations, however, right now, I’m just waiting for January 1st, when I’ve designated myself a full day off- a good time to use one of my Lush bath-bombs from Christmas I think.
So yes, in all fairness I’ve not done much out of the ordinary, but I wanted to write something to say that if you’re feeling a little drained, even though it’s the holiday season, you’re not alone. I’m very excited to get back to my university routine, of less essays and more reading, plus the fact the nights are going to get lighter and (hopefully) it’s going to be a little bit warmer. Although I’ve not done much over the holidays I can’t wait to get back to my gym routine, even if 7:15am pilates is sometimes a challenge. If you’ve read my content for a while you’ll know that I finally signed up to a gym in the summer holidays, and surprisingly enough I’ve kept it up. It’s definitely a top five achievement of 2017, attending the gym at least twice a week, but usually more, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone struggling with any sort of mental health issues.
There’s been lots of highs and lows to my 2017, but with so many things to look forward to next year, I’m feeling very positive about everything to come; I hope you are too!
Take Care Everyone, I’ll Speak to You All Soon!
