If I can make it there,
I’ll make it anywhere.
It’s up to you, New York, New York
– Frank Sinatra
A good old Frank Sinatra can never do anyone wrong. So why a song about New York and not Disney? The human Geographers have flown out to the Big Apple earlier this week. What a massive difference between our field trip to Spain to their field trip to New York.
From the conversations I had with the human Geographers, they are going to look at urbanisation and development. Also, they will be in groups to answer a project question and to complete an individual assessment. I know they have an unlimited subway (not the sandwich place) pass to explore the Big Apple as well.
There will be differences between the trips such as human Geographers don’t need to wear hiking boots or look at plants. Another difference will be, human Geographers can dress in normal clothes and not worry about getting them dirty. Finally, the human Geographers had to travel longer to reach their location compared to physical. Don’t get me wrong, physical Geography is great as you get to travel more.
Anyways, I hope the human Geographers have a good time in New York!
