This is my last study abroad blog post. It’s been exactly one year from today since I left England to start my adventure in Denmark.
When I first began my journey twelve months ago, I wrote ‘Denmark, here I come’. Now that things have come full circle, it’s with some sadness that I have to say ‘Goodbye, Denmark’.
I remember the excitement that I felt to start something new. I set out to meet new people, to learn new things, and to have fun along the way. I achieved all of those personal aims, and I don’t at all regret my decision to go to Denmark.
The time has flown past. I knew that this would happen, and it sometimes feels like I’d never left at all. Nevertheless, there will always be a place in my heart for Denmark — for the slower pace of life, for the cycling, and for all of the people whom I met.
Despite the nostalgia that I feel, I am ready to start the next chapter in my life. In other words, I don’t see this as the end, but as a new beginning.
If you would like to read about my final year as a student at the University of Leicester, I’m pleased to announce that I am now a Management Studies blogger. My profile will soon be available on the Management blog site.
