Obsessing over: Once again, my dissertation; I have a meeting tomorrow with my dissertation supervisor to chat about the plan for this year. I’m writing about the representations of Native American women in film (a great excuse to watch Pocahontas) and thankfully have a 3,500 word project that I wrote in America as a basis for my final dissertation.
Working on: The aforementioned dissertation unfortunately, although my appetite has led my research to recipes for dinner instead. Since moving back I have tried (not particularly hard I must admit) to eat well… 2 Domino’s pizzas and a mammoth Chinese takeaway later it may be time to put words into action.
Thinking about: How much my abs hurt from just half an hour of working out yesterday. Still, it’s a good sign, and my housemate and I have promised ourselves to do a workout every day. Nothing fancy, just youtube videos, a blanket on the living room floor, and the privacy of our own home (no strangers peeking over at what you’re doing). Plus, it’s free! And as a student, I naturally live for freebies.
Anticipating: Dinner! Tonight’s recipe is Jamie Oliver’s Meatloaf which you can find here; although it has a lot of ingredients it’s fairly easy to make, makes enough for your housemates (and then some) and has lots of flavour (with added bacon-y goodness).
Drinking: Nothing, thanks to the Quiet Patrol’s totalitarian regime and policing of the library. The sound of me peeling a clementine summoned two in the space of 10 minutes, so you’ve been warned: they take their jobs incredibly seriously.
