Deathlines. The last 10 days have been positively manic. At least inside my head.
On one day I had both my dissertation presentation and a presentation for my module on FDR. The next day was the deadline for my portfolio written about the presentation I had done two weeks previously on McCarthyism. Less than a week later was the essay for the FDR module (2,500 words), and a mere 4 days later was the book review for the same module, also 2500 words.
Between all of that, stress at work, and getting ill, I think I’m ready to go home for Christmas. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening until the 23rd of December. When my parents asked what I wanted for Christmas, the only thing I could think of was a day off! I’m very much looking forward to having a day where literally no one is allowed to do work (I’m pretty sure it’s law. Elves will take your work off you if you try).
Between now and then, I’m going to enjoy a game I bought two weeks ago but have exercised the self restraint to not play until my deadlines passed, and on Monday I’ll be going to the Christmas market in Birmingham which I have been looking forward to for a month! I’ll be sure to post pictures – I have a feeling you’ll be hearing a lot more from me over the next few weeks!
A more pressing matter, however – SLEEP. The first time before 3am in two weeks.
