Hey y’all,
The summer holidays are slowly coming to a close as the next academic is on our doorstep. I can imagine a lot of people are in the same situation as me as I impatiently wait for latest student loan installment. I’ve had 2 years experience being a stingy student living in both halls and student housing and so I thought I’d give a few tips that might make your life easier…
- Accommodation – Bring a dressing gown or if you can handle the criticism, a onesie. Don’t worry about how unfashionable they are as my dressing gown was an absolute godsend last year. Even to point where I might upgrade it from a cheap Primark one this year. She kept me warm during those periods of prolonged coldness and was a pleasure to behold after a lukewarm shower.
- Food – There’s nothing wrong with the basics and no matter how bad it gets try not to resort to noodles. Yeah they’re easy and taste alright but I’d hate to think what they chuck in there for ‘flavour’.
- Money – One thing I’m going to make sure I do this year is include a modest budget for a little treat. Nando’s, quality shampoo or even a cheeky air fresher can make a world of difference.
This is going to be my last post before I leave for my lovely plush house containing 5 other male counterparts. It’s safe to say that it’s going to be completely difference experience so I’ll keep you updated.
Cheers,
Jack
