Hey y’all. As the semester draws to a close and you start to accumulate a lot of emails from the library regarding outstanding book loans you know that Christmas is just around the corner.
I for one can’t wait to eat all the food I haven’t been able to eat at uni. Bucket loads of curry and truck loads of gammon are on the agenda. And that Christmas dinner on Christmas day, oh wow. The thought of a decent roast is making me salivate. Last year at uni me and my housemates tried to recreate a home cooked Christmas dinner. We swapped the Turkey for a rotisserie chicken, swapped Champagne for Bucks Fizz and had a frozen chocolate fudge cake instead of Christmas pudding. Not too bad considering we had a pathetic budget to work with. As third year students we’ve scrapped the idea of ‘giving it a go’ and have come to the decision to go to Wetherspoon’s for our festive feast. It saves on the washing up which was one of the most important factors in our decision.
I’ll be giving a Master Chef analysis of our festive meal after it happens so keep an eye out for that one.
I hope you give a home cooked Christmas dinner ago. Oh, and if you need any help choosing a frozen chocolate cake or carving a rotisserie chicken leave me a message below.
Cheers,
Jack
