Hey y’all. I’ve handed in my essay, done my dissertation presentation and now I’m preparing for the new semester.
It’s fair to say I’ve had a couple days off and FIFA has been heavily exploited but now it’s time to start thinking about the next few months. I’m doing a Gothic Film module and a Screenwriting module this semester alongside the dreaded dissertation. It’s weird but even though I’m doing an American Studies degree I haven’t actually taken one single American Studies module this year. Two history modules in the first semester, a history of art module and an english module this semester means that I’ve completely bypassed my degree in my final year.
I’ve now got around 4 months to write my dissertation. It seems ages away but I’m sure it will become more of a reality sooner rather than later. Very much like Leicester Football Club’s dire relegation battle in the Premiership.
I ideally need to hand in a draft chapter in a month’s time. My dissertation tutor can look at one section of my dissertation so they can check whether or not I’m going in the right direction. This is so crucial as I’m sure I’m going to end up rambling on about something completely irrelevant… yet again.
Oh, the life of an American Studies student!
I’ll be sure to blog about my first day back in the real university world next week.
Cheers,
Jack
