As this is my first blog post I thought it best if I introduced myself! My name is Shannon and I am currently in my third year as an archaeology student. I study BA Archaeology and at the end of September I will be starting my Erasmus year abroad at the University of Malta. I cannot believe that two years as a student at the University of Leicester have flown by so quickly with my second year going by quicker than my first.
Now it is officially summer I have started planning for my Erasmus year abroad, which I will keep you updated on as I am sure there are a number of thing I still have to do (like but a whole new summer wardrobe – this I am very much looking forward too!). Summer time also marks the time of year when my compulsory archaeological fieldwork begins and this year I am extremely lucky to be going on a three week dig in Avebury, Wiltshire led by one of my lecturers Dr. Mark Gillings which is a big dream of mine!
Stay tuned for blog post about my three week dig and other fun filled activities I have planned during the holidays. You can also expect to hear lots from me about my adventures on my Erasmus year abroad in the coming academic year.
Hope you all have a great summer!
