Two thirds of the way down the line…Unbelievable!

two-thirds-pie-chartWith the Easter holidays just come and gone, I found myself shocked at how it was already April and I was two thirds of the way into my industrial placement year. It will soon be eight months that I have been at GSK and I honestly have no idea where time has gone. I try not to think about it too much as I know without doubt that I am going to miss the fantastic environment and amazing people I have come to know (yes that includes my supervisor!) and to be honest I start to feel slightly down heartened at the thought of returning to university too, simply because I will miss the freedom of working in a flexible research setting and learning whilst I work which I have always found to be more stimulating than simply studying.

But with the months on my Outlook calendar swiftly passing by, I have also come to appreciate the opportunity I have been given to undertake this placement and feel like slapping myself around the head for ever doubting my application. I still have four months left and am determined to make the absolute most of them that I possibly can as I know that I will look back on this year wind fond memories for many years to come.
