Can’t believe I missed it!

I love all animals with a passion, something my family and some friends find to be quite a strange quality in me, so when I saw that there was going to be a petting zoo on campus I was ecstatic.  That was until I read the details and found that I had just missed it by one hour. To say I was gutted would be an understatement!

The event was organized by The Students’ Union in response to a suggestion last August as a way to relieve the stress of exams. It is exam period right now and walking around campus you can see stressed students with piles of notes and textbooks in zombie mode and no doubt the zoo provided a welcome distraction.

The animals were from Ark Farm who manage a diverse range of farm animals from small Serama Chickens and Call Ducks up to Dexter Cattle and Ponies. Below are some pictures of students enjoying the welcome break from revision. If only I had read the bulletin earlier!
