I guess it’s appropriate for my first post as a student blogger to contain a brief introduction about me. So here it is:
I’m Daisy, studying Medical Biochemisty here at the University of Leicester. I’ve completed two years of my degree in Leicester and, as a little curveball, spent the last year in the glorious Heidelberg, Germany*. I’m now enjoying my summer back in the UK before completing my final year in Leicester.
I hope that via these blog posts I can give an insight into my course and the Biological Sciences department as a whole, whilst also talking about my third year lab project and how splendidly that’s going (best case scenario). I will be sharing with you how my transition of moving back to an English University is going, along with life in a University where the majority of my closest friends have now graduated and moved into the big wide world. Some posts may be concentrated on how much I’m missing schnitzel and drinking from a maß, so I apologise in advance for those.
So that’s all for now, I wish you all a cracking summer and stay tuned!
*the details of my Y/A will be available in a future post, so look out for that one!
