Last week, amidst the blur of deadlines, I went Christmas shopping (mostly just to convince myself that I was organised in at least one aspect of my life).
Now you’re probably expecting a guide to shopping in Leicester? No, this is purely an appreciation post of one shop: SET!
If you’ve ever been you’ll probably understand why (and if you’ve been and you don’t then you re not going to understand anything I write for the rest of this post). SET is my favourite shop in Leicester, because it has nothing I need and everything I want!
Located on High Street, by one of the entrances to Highcross, this little shop stocks everything from fun jewellery, notebooks with entertaining slogans, fairy lights and the cutest purses. AND CACTI… but not just cacti. Cacti in concrete and copper pots!
I realise that cacti in concrete and copper pots probably seems like a strange thing to base an opinion of a shop on, but I’m betting that at least one person reading this just thought ‘I need to go to this shop’. If you’re that person then you are likely to end up in your overdraft a lot earlier than you thought, you have been warned!
