By now you will probably know that I’m really trying to be more eco friendly and reduce my single use plastic waste! I know it can be hard to know where to start with this kind of thing, so I wanted to do another review of a product that you could get to help you cut down on your plastic consumption too! This time it’s the Chilly’s water bottles.
I have had my Chilly’s water bottle for a few months now and I really like it! This is a stainless steel metal water bottle and I have it in a matte red (they come in a lot of colours and patterns), I have been really impressed with it so far. It’s pretty light and keeps my water really cold – they are meant to keep drinks cold for up to 24hrs even when its warm outside! Not only that but apparently they also keep hot drinks hot for 12hrs, although I haven’t tried this yet. This is a really great feature though, it’s so irritating when you get half way through the day and you drink is room temperature!
The best thing about these bottles is they really are leak proof and I don’t worry about having it in a bag with my laptop! I also think metal bottles seem to stay cleaner than plastic ones do. Overall I am really pleased this product and it seems like it will last a long time! The only thing I would change is that I would get a bigger size (I have the middle one I think) because I do have to refill it during the day, but I do drink a lot to be fair. Chilly’s also do reusable stainless steel coffee cups and food pots, so I think I will be looking getting one of those soon too!
Chilly’s bottles retail at around £20 and are available at a few places in Leicester including the no waste shop in St Martins!
