Okay hi.
So first of all, Happy Christmas. I always find it difficult to revise at home in the Christmas holidays. I’ve always been told that the first step to revising is being able to work in a focussed environment, and that’s definitely true for me.
The build up to Christmas is always a busy time in my house, with all sorts of preparations and visits and shopping to be done. Then, of course, there’s Christmas itself and all that it entails, and then the pointless week between Christmas and New Years, followed by heading back to university and then exams almost immediately afterwards. My first exam this time round is actually on the first day of term as well.
In short, my problem has been that when I’m at home, there’s too much going on around me to let me revise properly. I’m therefore going back to Leicester on Monday, two weeks before I have to, to camp out in the library. Making the decision to move into a work-orientated environment rather than the relaxed atmosphere of home is always a difficult one; I’d much rather stay home a while longer. But it will all pay off in the long run.
Loveyoubye
