Okay hi,
So this is the last time I get to write a post on this page. It’s a really weird feeling really, like another one of those ‘this is the last time this will ever happen’ moments that seem to be popular at the moment. It’s funny really though, because where leaving college to come to university was sad and scary, leaving university is sad, but also filled with excitement for what the future might hold.
The thing is though, I don’t think it feels like university is ending. Like even though most students have now left Leicester to return home, people didn’t say goodbye. We’ll see each other at graduation next month, and I dare say we’ll keep in touch beyond that.
But equally there are some things that won’t be a part of the future. For any and all of its shortcomings, I’ve loved living in Leicester for the last three years. I got to see the funeral procession of King Richard III, literally pass by my front door. We have a pretty good comedy festival. And I have so many memories that aren’t necessarily big news, but were great moments for me personally.
I’d just like to say good luck to anyone graduating this year, with whatever it is you go on to do, and also good luck to the people staying at Leicester for another year to do their Masters course.
After this post, Jack will be taking over the Chemistry blog page from me, and will begin blogging next month, so Jack: welcome to the student blog pages.
That’s just about it from me. Cheers Leicester, it’s been real.
Loveyoubye
