I passed!
I’m not allowed to give you any details so I’ll tell you about the experience.
The staff are really friendly and they made it easy for people who didn’t know what the beep test is (oops) to warm up and stretch. The trainers were really friendly and motivating, they encouraged us to try as hard as we could and pushed us towards the end of the beep test. Unfortunately I need to have my surgery before I can go any further with the medical. For now though I’m waiting the hear back about the Community Initiative Support role, which I’ll be volunteering for while I complete my Special Constable training. This is a good approach if you want to get a foot in the door with the Police or any other organisation. If it’s going to take a lot of time to reach your goal then you might as well use that time to get as much experience as possible. I don’t think it’ll be sensible to blog about my work experience with the Police but I’ll find out. For now good luck to anybody looking for work experience and here it’s 00:25am for me, so Good Night.
