I have enjoyed blogging but times are a’ changing. I’ve been busy reading for my dissertation (as if that needed mentioning again) and trying to sort out my life as final year approaches along with all the many responsibilities I signed up for in the previous year, seeming to converge on me at once. Which includes my ambassador job, student engagement team, evening job at the Barley Mow in town, volunteering with Contact Student Team, Police Community Initiative and International Student Mentoring. That is before I even consider how I plan on achieving a 2:1.
I guess this demonstrates just how much there is to get involved in at the University and around Leicester City. I have a very epic plan of combining my dissertation which I’ve decided will be on community crime prevention, with my community volunteering with Contact and my Police volunteering for the Community Initiative. Into one project to do my dissertation research whilst engaging the students and Police with the wider community, to improve crime prevention. I hope that make sense because right now it’s just an idea in my head with lots of potential! So before this all suffocates me I’ll apologise for not keeping up to date, I’m writing this whilst eating my dinner before I rush off to work my evening job… I shall quit while I’m ahead with everything else and hope for an exciting 2012/13!
If there are any international students at Heathrow Airport tomorrow and throughout the next week I shall give you a very big Hello 🙂
To everybody else; Goodbye and Good Luck!
