January Round up.
As you may have noticed, I have not blogged in a few weeks. As current students would be able to pinpoint in one, this is because of the exam season. Thankfully this is over now, and normality can resume!
As a 3rd year Criminology student, i had a choice in my sociology module for Semester 1. This meant that I only had 1 January exam, due to the main brunt of my work being due before the Christmas Break. However, dissertation deadlines are coming quicker and quicker and applications for jobs are flying by!
The exam seasons at University all have two things in common, huge increase of numbers in the Library and extra stress amongst students. After taking up a tongue in cheek recommendation from last year, the Students Union organised a little treat for students providing them with some much needed relaxation! A petting zoo from the nearby area came to visit for the day, with a wide variety of animals. From a cow, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and even a pony! The event received an overwhelmingly good reception on its announcement. I popped down to see what it was all about and take some pictures which can be seen here below.
To see updates from the students Union and to see more pictures that were taken on the day, have a quick look at their facebook page. As a prospective student, it is worth liking or following University of Leicester pages as these often post videos/photos/links on information that will help your application process or your decision on whether to apply for the University.
