Every exam season, Leicester Student Union have really had our backs to take the edge off the stress. Short organised events such as laser tag and puppy petting sessions are amazing alternatives to the odd Facebook or Netflix break and are the perfect way to drown your exam anxieties as a celebration after finishing an exam.
One of my favourite Union innovations is Leicester Love! I’ve never really been much of a Twitter user, but the premise behind Leicester Love is using Twitter to win prizes! For a few weeks of exam season, you can tweet about something you’d really like to have and use #LeicesterLove. One of my housemates won a Lush bath bomb in January, another won some water colour paints this term, and I won Life is Strange on Xbox. The Union stress that no wish is too big or small, so others have been granted some truly amazing wishes such as a PS4, plane tickets, a computer monitor and tickets to Disneyland! My housemates and I have spent our post-exam time really enjoying our granted wishes and we are so grateful this opportunity is available and that everyone has a pretty good chance of getting granted wishes. It definitely brought a lot of smiles to my face during this particularly stressful time.
