Celebrating International Women’s Day, Part 1

Women are the foundation of a successful society. Evidently, history has proven that many times. Women like Mother Teresa, Marie Currie and Eleanor Roosevelt have brought a change to the world in their own way and have showed that women can be powerful. Today, in a world where women are still not fully appreciated and respected, Eva Organization for Women –EOW- (a charitable organization based in Leicester) is fighting for their rights, motivates and supports.

Having met some of the people of that organization I can assure you that they are extremely kind and friendly so do not hesitate to get involved. Click here to get to their website and read more on their roles and goals. It is a two-way thing and you will gain something as well from this contribution.

On the 8th of March is the International Women’s day and EOW is planning a big event to celebrate this. I am a part of this and I am helping in the organisation of a successful event so women can enjoy a day away from stress and tiredness.

The event will take place on the 9th of March (a day after the International Women’s day) in the O2 Academy of our University from 11am to 4pm. You are all more than welcome to join us!

Below you can find the link to the facebook event and the poster for some more details:
