This past weekend, I set aside a few hours to seriously look into and apply to graduate schemes and jobs. This is a task that has been on my list for quite some time now, and I have been successfully procrastinating starting it for the entirety of third year. However, I figured since most application close before the new year, it was probably time to take hold of my future and actually put myself and my CV in to the real world of work.
So, obviously not everyone reading this is going to know exactly what they want to do when they graduate – I’m really not expecting any first year readers to go off and apply for grad schemes after reading this post. However, I feel like everyone needs a few extra links/websites/companies to add to their ever growing mailing list of potential employers. Whether this be for graduate schemes, second year internships or first year work experience, putting yourself out there is so important, as it’s crucial to avoid the ‘fear’ or writing a CV, applying for jobs, gaining an interview and eventually either getting a place or not. It’s a common cliche, but failing really is the best to learn. So, I urge you to check out some of these websites and companies that I have found useful in my application journey and put yourself out there. Good luck!!
