Hello everyone!
This is actually my first post so I want to start off by wishing everyone a happy new year! Hope this one brings everyone lots of success and happiness, I know most of you have your exams going on these days so just keep holding on! Thankfully my course doesn’t have any exams just a three hour grammar test that I took before Christmas and turns out I got a good mark so now I have to focus on my essays. I promised myself that I was going to finish my essay at home during the holidays and so I did, even though I struggled a bit to concentrate. I had to choose between spending the afternoons and nights with my friends that I haven’t seen in three months and staying at home writing my essay. I’ve managed to balance between the two of them though, and it actually gave me the opportunity to visit my old English teacher and get a few tips on how to write my essay. My topic sounds pretty easy but for someone like me that hasn’t got any teaching experience yet, it was a bit challenging. I basically had to create two lesson plans for two 50 minute lessons that would teach a language material. I went to have a coffee with my old English teacher while I was at home and she gave me a few ideas based on how she creates her lessons for her students. I tried to combine both what I learnt from uni the previous term and what she told me and then it was pretty easy for me to finish the assignment.
I spent my holidays eating lots of homemade food and hanging out with all my relatives and friends. I always love spending Christmas at home, that’s why I used to travel back home for the Christmas holidays during my first degree. On the other hand, I love spending my Easter at the UK with anyone who’s here and hasn’t gone back home for the holidays. During my first degree, I spent my Easters with my classmates and I’m probably going to do the same this year because I’ve been getting along with a few of my classmates since freshers week.
Anyway, so I arrived back to Leicester yesterday afternoon. I had a morning flight and I got to take lots of cool pictures of the snow from outside the plane window. What I’m planning to do this weekend is to submit my essay and start working on the next one. I’ll leave you with one of the pictures that I took on the plane because it looks professional and I want to share it with you! Here it is:
