Why does this always happen?! It’s midnight again and I’m in the mood to write a post, oh well I guess it’s my “inspiration time”. So last Thursday was kind of a special day for me. It was really special for two reasons, the first one is because I had my last lecture of my Master’s course but it wasn’t just that. It was my last lecture as a student. Like ever. Last time I sat at a lecture theater as a student, well unless I decide to take another course or do a PhD which I don’t see myself doing in the near future so I doubt it. That means then that the next time I will probably be at a classroom it would be from a different point of view, the teacher’s point of view. My feelings were mixed, I was excited that this chapter of my life finally comes to an end but on the other hand I kept thinking that I will miss it as soon as I graduate. In fact, I guarantee you I’m gonna miss being a student as soon as I submit my dissertation. Everyone tells you “oh cherish your years at school because when you grow older you’re gonna miss school more than anything”, well they are wrong cause I don’t miss school one bit but I definitely already miss university life and I haven’t even finished yet! It’s a weird thing for sure, we keep complaining throughout the year that we have lots of assignments, tests, exams and lectures from 9 am but let’s get real these are our best years. What’s not to love, you get the chance to meet so many people, you party a lot, you have the chance to travel and you create memorable moments with new friends that will probably remain your best buddies for long after graduation. What’s a little homework? What’s the struggle in having to write assignments and study for exams? I would do it all again.
So yeah, last week was my last lecture ever and I couldn’t just go to class like that so I messaged all my classmates on our private group on facebook and asked them to stay for another five minutes at the end of the lesson so that we would take a picture all together. Luckily they agreed and we did take a picture, which looks amazing and I will keep it forever and look at it when I’ll be older and I’d remember all the memories I’ve made with those people this year. I won’t post the picture cause maybe some of them won’t like the idea of having their faces online, available for everyone but I can assure you that it’s the greatest picture ever! 😛
The second reason as to why last Thursday was special for me was because it marked a year from the craziest and best night of my life so far: the night I went to Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz Tour. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I’m pretty sure you know who Miley Cyrus is (if not, I suggest taking an aspirin and doing a quick google search). For those of you who don’t know me that well, I have to admit at this point that I have a slight – well, okay, let’s be real – I’ve got a huge obsession with her. So last year on the 14/05/2014 I went to her concert when she was touring in the UK, and I got front row tickets so I was like a meter away from her and you can now understand why it was the craziest night of my life. I won’t go much into details on why I love her so much cause it will probably end up being a mini – dissertation on Miley Cyrus so I’m just gonna keep it simple. She’s kind of special to me primarily because of her uniqueness, I love how confident she is, how free she feels, how pure her heart is and how fearless she is in expressing herself in her own weird ways. I love how comfortable she is with her body, sexuality and personality and how she’s never afraid to express herself even if the whole world gets mad at her. Anyway, it was my favorite night ever and I still go back and watch all the videos I took and wish I could go back again.
Here’s me as soon as I went in the arena and got the front barrier. Look how happy I look 😀
And this is at the end when the whole arena filled up with confetti, fireworks and balloons and she was waving goodbye.
How did I manage to combine university and Miley Cyrus? Well, I have no idea but I’m kinda proud.
Anyway, good luck to everyone with your exams and have a nice day 🙂
