I just came across a new campaign from Amnesty and thought I’d share it with you.
The campaign is called Trial by Timeline. It scans your Facebook page and tells you what crimes you would have been convicted of and where for your Facebook activity. It’s a really sobering tool, and shows a lot of things that you should never, ever, be punished for that carry an incredibly heavy penalty.
In my case, being a Christian female pushes the number of death penalties I would receive worldwide in to the double figures.
And that’s before you take in to account lashes, mutilation and torture.
I’d recommend everyone try this out., just to see the level of injustice in the world. After that, Leicester University has an Amnesty Society which you can find out more about at the UoL Amnesty page or see if there are any societies near you on the Amnesty page.
Just don’t do it in Guatemala, Iran or Saudi Arabia. That could get you killed by extremists, imprisoned or beaten.
