Hi there! I’m Jamie the new engineering student blogger, and I’m about to go into my second year studying aerospace engineering (BSc) at the University of Leicester. I will be blogging about the department itself and my experiences throughout my time at Leicester, hopefully giving you an insight into what it’s like to be a student.
Currently we’re in the summer holidays so there isn’t a whole lot of things going on to do with university, however one of the more important things is obviously end of year exams. As a first year with engineering you will have three exams; Electrical and electronic engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Maths with computation. Results for this year were recently released and I’m happy to say I passed my first year comfortably which is a relief (all those hours spent in the library paid off…). There are two other modules which are assessed continuously throughout the year, experimentation and engineering design (which was my favourite part of the course).
I will try to blog as regularly as I can throughout the summer to keep you updated with what I’m up too, however If you have any questions please feel free to write in the comments section, and I will do my best to answer.
Bye for now!
[…] Thank you for reading this blog and I hope you have as great a next few years as I think I’ll have! Don’t forget to keep reading all about Engineering and Leicester at Jamie H’s fabulous blog here. […]
