In my last blog, posted a week into Leicester Uni’s 5 week Easter break, I outlined my plans for the holidays. Well, now that there’s only one week left so I’d thought I’d let you know how my good intentions were faring.
Firstly, I survived my third and final Tour with the Leicester Cheerleaders! (If you don’t know what a sports tour is then have a look at my previous blog). I had an amazing time despite the 27 hour coach journey there and back and some pretty chilly weather.
So, last time I said that once I got home from tour my life would become dominated by essays. And it has. This might sound dreadful, but for me, it is actually a very good thing. It’s means I’m doing work at home! It may have taken until the final break of my final year at University but I have actually managed to ignore all the fun and sociable things going on at home and be productive. I’ve even managed to stick to the schedule I devised! I think the fear of graduation is doing its job and keeping me focused on my essays.
And, I’ve even managed to fit in some of the fun things too. Thanks to the long-awaited sunny weather, I am going to attempt a barbeque today as a reward myself for all my hard work!
I think (fingers crossed) I’ve finally managed to work out a balance between keeping on top of my work in the holidays and enjoying some rejuvenating relaxation time. Maybe you will be able to find that balance a bit quicker than me!
