Hello everyone 🙂 It’s time for me to say goodbye- I’ve graduated from Leicester and I have a BA under my belt, so no more student blogging for me! (Probably). I will be staying on at Leicester studying an MA in Modern Literature and I found out last week that I’ve been awarded a scholarship for the MA, which is really exciting. I’m going to spend August visiting a friend I made on my year abroad who lives in Belgium, and then I’ll be moving back to Leicester to get started on some background reading for my course, and hopefully starting a part time job. Yesterday I paid a flying visit to Leicester to sign forms for the flat I’ll have for the next year- again, that’s pretty exciting for me. It was weird to be back in Leicester and know that my undergrad friends aren’t there and won’t be moving back with me: honestly it’s a bit scary and makes me pretty sad. BUT I got so much out of my time as an undergrad, met so many wonderful people, managed to get all firsts in my final year (I considered dropping out in second year so that’s been a turn around!), and gained a lot of independence. So I’m looking forward to what comes next.
I’m going to hand you over to the lovely Laura, who will be blogging about her experience as an English student at Leicester over the coming year (as well as giving you some yummy healthy recipes hopefully as an added bonus- check out her instagram). Thank you for taking the time to read my blogs, I’ve enjoyed writing them and they’re nice to look back on as a memento of my final year. I hope you got some enjoyment out of them too 🙂 Bye!
