So this year is my final year at the University of Leicester, and I will be taking my final exams (at least for this degree) in May and after that, I’ll be going back to London. And it’s just hit me that this will be my last 2 and a half months in Leicester and there is so much that I have been wanting to do and see since my first year.
Next month, aka tomorrow, will be my final April as an undergraduate University of Leicester student. As it is the holiday period, I am going to make the most of my final April in Leicester because I will 100% miss Leicester. It is such an amazing city, it is definitely not London, and although I love London, I love Leicester in a different way. I have spent most of my adult life in Leicester and I’ve grown up so much because of my time here.
So for my final April, I will be spending time revising for my exams in May but also taking time out to go and explore Leicester. My top three goals are:
1) To go to the Cathedral and see Richard III. It is such a shame that I still haven’t been to the Cathedral or the Visitor centre. My obsession with medieval history and all things Richard III was definitely born in Leicester and this is something I plan to take with me to London.
2) To see Bradgate park. I’ve been hearing about this park since first year, and although I have no idea where it is, I am determined to go and visit it this April.
3) To go and see the Space centre (again, I have no idea where this is, but thank God for google maps) and learn about Leicester’s contribution to the UK’s space programme.
