As many of you saw, last Sunday was the sunniest day of the year so far.
It was so beautiful and summery and I even wore a dress (WITHOUT a cardigan). My iPhone said that the weather was about 21+ degrees. And I knew that it was the perfect day to do one of my tasks that I wrote about in the last blog for my Final April as an Undergraduate student at the University of Leicester. Which task did I accomplish? The one that involves me going to a park and sitting down and enjoying the sun all day.
So last Sunday, I went to Bradgate Park. First of all, Bradgate Park is far (I thought it was in Leicester but it’s not, it’s in Leicestershire, not Leicester). We had to take a 20-30 minutes taxi ride which cost £14 each way. But it was totally worth it.
The park was full of families who were also taking advantage of the sunny weather, but there was plenty of space (the park is HUGE!!). There was also a lake, and we sat right next to it enjoying the ducks and the view. It was so peaceful to sit down and pretend that I didn’t have deadlines and exams coming up, which I should have been revising for. But it was a much-needed break from all the stress. I felt so renewed and refreshed when I got home from the park. And the best part was the deer that we saw.
It was an amazing day overall and I am so glad that I finally made it to Bradgate park. One task done, two more to go.
