So today is the last day of April, and I did not do everything I said I was going to do this in my Final April blog post. I still have not been to the Cathedral or to the Space Centre yet. So I will postpone these goals for after May 22nd.
This April has been so good, definitely my favourite April in Leicester so far. Although I didn’t do everything I thought I was going to do, I did really enjoy myself this month. I explored Leicester, I went to the spa (twice), and I still managed to get a lot of work done.
My projections for May are more academic than April’s. For May, I plan to:
- Finish and Hand in my dissertation by May 3rd. – I love my dissertation and all the work that I’ve put into it, but I can’t wait to finish editing it and just hand it in. I’ve edited it at least 5 times in the last 2 months and I’m very proud of it and all the time and effort it took to create the 44-page document.
- Nominate myself for the Student Awards by May 5th. – I would encourage everyone to nominate themselves for the student awards, even if you feel that you haven’t done enough to win, nominate yourself because you have nothing to lose, but so much to gain. And even if you don’t win you could still get invited to the Student Awards evening on June 5th and get a free meal.
- Finish all academic aspects of my degree. – This is something I thought that I was looking forward to, but now that it’s getting so close, I’m sad to be finishing my degree. I’ve enjoyed and loved it so much. I might even do a Masters in the future (just not next year because I need a break from university).
April was my month of exploration and fun, whilst May (at least until the 22nd) will be a month of living in the library and only going outside to buy groceries.
