Just a couple of things I’ve learned from my 2nd term at University:
– Exploring Leicester (and this doesn’t just mean cheap bars and pubs) shouldn’t be left until you’re about to leave… After seeing the Woman in Black, my first time at the Curve Theatre, and seeing Leicester University’s incredible production of The Vagina Monologues at Firebug, I’m frustrated in myself for discovering other things to do in the city after three years. But, better late than never.
– Team Spirit is important. Although I’ve never been into sports, I decided (as it is my final year) to attend several Varsity 2015 matches, to show support for Leicester University. The Rugby match was held at the Tigers Stadium which is definitely an experience all students should have, we smashed Basketball on DMU’s campus and the Girl’s football team did amazingly! We actually won Varsity too, which is a nice end to the term.
– Make sure you reserve your library books in advance – nothing worst than having books you really need/want being recalled just before you leave for home!
I hope everyone enjoys their Easter break 😀
