Right, I guess firstly I should introduce myself, as I am going to blog about Film&Media this year, which makes me very happy by the way!
I have just finished my first year and it makes me wonder: where has time gone?! Anyway, next year will be different in so many ways, but for now, it’s summer holiday. Now, I am just having a rest and thank God my biggest problem at the moment is that the 5th season of Game of Thrones is over.
Okay, a little about how I ended up here: I’m from Hungary and I chose Leicester because after some struggling with finding the right course for me at home, I decided to follow my childhood-friend who had gone to study to England. She told me about how things worked here so I got really enthusiastic. And once I get enthusiastic, I do everything to achieve my goals… So I applied to some universities and finally two things helped me to decide which one to accept: the Visit Day and this Student Blog.
Because after reading all the official and attractive reviews and statistics, all I wanted to do was hear “the truth” from an actual person who does live there and truly knows every aspect of the given University. And this is what I will try to do, too: giving you an insight into life at Leicester, as a student who is a non-native speaker, a student who is doing a joint degree, a student who is pretty introverted and crazy about films and journalism and a student who absolutely loves living in Leicester.
Till the next post, all the best!
