Tomorrow I start my journey to Orlando, and to my Cultural Exchange Program, working for the Walt Disney Company. I’m beyond excited but equally nervous for what the next few months have in store for me. I’ve said all my goodbyes and my suitcase is just about packed…and is definitely going to shut without me sitting on it, of course.
A couple of exciting updates on my journey for you all is that not only do I know where I’ll be living, I also know where I’ll be working. The accommodation process kind of worked a bit like it does for halls, in that you put your preferences of which complex/site and which apartment type you’d prefer. I feel so lucky to say I got my first choice of complex, so that’s a weight off of my mind. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to to link up with the lovely girls I was planning to room with, so I guess it’ll be a bit like halls all over again, in that I’m moving in with complete strangers; I’m sure it’ll be fun though. Currently I don’t know what type of apartment I’ll be living in, as in how many to a room or apartment as a whole, but I quite enjoying that surprise element of it.
And finally, my second bit of news, and most importantly,I’m over the moon to tell you that this summer I will be working in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. I couldn’t have asked for a better location, and I can’t wait to get started. I’m going to be sharing as much of my adventure as possible, so if you do have any questions don’t hesitate to ask, I’ll be more than happy to answer them. But until then…
Take Care Everyone, I’ll Speak to You All Soon!
Wow this is so cool. Good luck!
Thank you Aliyah; I am a week in now, it’s still feeling very surreal!
