Hi everyone, sorry for my lack of blogging recently, I’ve been madly revising for my final exam which was this morning. So this morning at 11.30 am I finished my university degree!
Strangely, it is a bit of an anti-climax really, I have been working hard for three years and I am not that excited that it is over. But I am very relieved, and I’m looking forward to the future, I’m completing a master’s degree in a specialism of Geography (but at a different university), so I still have another year of higher education left. Also it was a bit of an anti-climax because myself and my friends don’t always finish at the same time.
In first year here, all Geography students take the same courses, and thus have the same exams – so there are over 100 people all excited that first year is completed. In third year though, because there’s a bigger choice of modules I am the first to finish, which is lucky for me really – my closest friends have exams on the 30th and 3rd June so they had to go straight back to revision after the exam this morning!
As I have a summer job and a holiday coming up, my parents are coming up to Leicester to help me move all my stuff home on Sunday. It is a strange feeling that after three years of living here I am moving back home for good in two days time. But I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here in Leicester, and I am of course looking forward to being back here for my graduation in July!
Good luck for anyone who is still taking exams, whether currently at university or finishing your A-Levels. Not much longer until you can celebrate with the whole summer ahead of you!
