Unfortunately the summer is almost over and even though I’m super excited to be back in Leicester I’ve had the most amazing time visiting new places over the past couple of months so I thought as a geography student I would write a little bit about where I’ve been so here goes…
Essex
My first little trip was a weekend in Essex, this was a birthday present for my Mum and we stayed in Brentwood where TOWIE is filmed. We visited all the boutiques that are visited in the programme as well as getting our hair and makeup done at “CHLOES Beauty Bar”. On the Sunday we went to South End and got the train to the end of the famous pier, as well as going on a few rides, it was absolutely amazing. The weather was lovely and it was a perfect weekend trip to start the summer.
Majorca
My next stop was Majorca with Holly. We flew from Luton so I had to first travel down to London which wasn’t great as my train was cancelled. We got there in the end however and had an amazing week of sun, pool parties and music. I think my favourite day of the whole holiday was the White Party as we got all dressed up in white with lots of gems and glitter! The beaches were also stunning and the sea was so blue that I even conquered my fears and had a little swim.
Devon
My third trip was to Devon with all of my university friends. We stayed with two of our friends who live in Devon and they showed us everything Devon has to offer. We visited Dartmoor, including the archaeological site of Grimspound, we had cream teas in Widecombe-In-The-Moor and a very wet beach day in Exmouth. My favourite day was the shopping in Exeter closely followed by visiting Buckfast Abbey. The whole week was amazing and I feel so lucky to have the most amazing friends.
Cornwall
My last trip of the summer was to Newquay in Cornwall. I could post so many pictures of this beautiful place. We drove every day to go and see more beautiful views. We visited Kynance Cove and swam inside the coves in the crystal clear waters. And we also visited St Michaels Mount which can be accessed by a path at low tide or a boat during high tide and the views from the castle were breathtaking. Whilst we were in Newquay we also went to Boardmasters Festival to watch the surf competitions and taste some of the fantastic food stalls.
I feel so very blessed to have the had the summer I’ve had. There’s been so many experiences that have been made amazing by the people I were with and honestly it’s going to take a lot next summer to top it all off.
