As a student at university you will soon discover that no desk is big enough. I spend my life around essay deadlines living in a room where you have to manoeuvre around notes and books on the floor that are positioned in a specific (only I can understand why) filing system, in an attempt to not miss a thing out of my essay. The thing that suffers most from this way of working is my bed, as it becomes instantly the best place to work. I wouldn’t recommend this as it probably causes you back problems and other things that students shouldn’t have, but I can safely say that it has become the only way I can work on an essay. I tend to type my essay sitting at my desk like a good student, but in the run up to the essay I am sitting on my bed with a mountain of notes and a hill of books surrounding me.
To some this may seem weird, but to me it is perfect as not only do I have all my work in front of me so I can write an epic essay plan, it also limits my ability to get back into bed, which is always a longing I have when I am meant to be working. Once I tried to have a nap in a bed covered in my work- it did not go well and I will not be attempting it again any time soon. So this proves that the bed-desk is really taking a vital role in helping me get my essay done.
