First of all, I’d like to start this blog off with an apology. April was a very hectic month, so I’m sorry for the almost radio silence! I spent most of it working on my dissertation and revising, so at least my time didn’t go to waste.
So dissertation hand in day was May 4th, and I can’t believe that I’ve actually finished it! I handed my dissertation in the day before it was due, just to make sure I didn’t have any last minute panics about not being able to submit it on time for whatever reason. I’m so proud of what I was able to produce and know that what I handed in was the best that I could have done, so I was feeling really happy and relaxed!
That lasted for a while but then I went back to revising for my three final exams. I found it really difficult to motivate myself because my dissertation, which is arguably the most important aspect of your degree, was already handed it. It sort of felt like an anti-climax after all that hard work, that I had to go back and start revising again.
I won’t actually finish until the last day of exam period (June 3rd), which is both a good and bad thing. On the good side, it means that I’ll have a nice, long period to make sure my exam preparation is a good as possible. On the other hand, all of my house mates finish for good tomorrow, so it’s going to be hard watching them relaxing while I’m still studying!
I made the decision to come back home to do some revising so I’m not tempted to join in with their relaxing! So far it’s working well and I’m getting through the revision – I’ll tell you more about it later in the week!
