Simple. Relatable. Personal. Bullet pointed. In no particular order.
- Taps
Taps is small, but it’s absolutely beautiful. Every cocktail I’ve had there has tasted exquisite. It is a bit pricey (around £8 per drink) but I love it.
- 1901 Turkey Cafe
I’ve never been to a bar with more inventive cocktails. They keep posting pictures of new drinks they’ve made up on their Facebook page and it’s taking so much self control not to go every night. They serve dry ice drinks that you have to mix in flasks, drinks set on fire, some that come with glow sticks, and drinks served in chocolate spheres.
- Hakamou
Hawaiian themed. Flaming drinks out of coconuts and shells. A literal kitchen sink full of rum. What else is there to say
- Maiyango
This bar is actually part of a hotel, but you can go in even if you’re not staying there. The bar is on the roof with a terrace, and its also beautiful with really comfy chairs. The drinks are around £6 each, but the selection is quite small if you’re not actually a guest there. Nevertheless, expect to end up staying a lot longer than you expected. Because of the aforementioned comfy chairs.
- Spoons lol
Sometimes even if you really want to go to a lovely bar, your bank balance won’t let you. I’d recommend the Sex on The Beach
