You might not know this, but February is LGBT History month and also the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of male homosexuality, which means a tonne of events going on up and down the country. Mainly in London, which is annoying because I sort of want to go to everything, but Leicester have also got lots, including Tom Robinson speaking. They’re aimed at academics and the public, so you can go and bring absolutely everyone you know. A lot of people are presenting some really great research that’s only just been published. I don’t know if this has been obvious, but this is really exciting for me guys.
You can find the list of events across the country here , and events the University is putting on here. I’ve already got tickets. Hopefully see you all there.
