So that’s it! A few days ago I sat my last ever exam of my undergraduate degree. Admittedly it wasn’t the best exam I’ve ever done, but I’m trying not to dwell on that. I’ve been writing essays/studying since the start of the Easter break so it’s really nice to be able to relax and enjoy the freedom a bit.
It’s been one heck of a year. I think this has probably been the hardest year for me, especially when you take into account the fact that this year is worth the most. Provided I get my 2:1 I will be coming back to Leicester to do a Master’s so I’m not really feeling those final year blues right now. I’m going to miss studying Italian and History of Art but I am quite relieved to be finishing and moving onto something new.
It’s amazing to think of how much has happened and how much I’ve changed since I was a fresher in 2012. I have so many memories and I’ve learned so much and I just generally feel like I’ve grown so much as a person. The past four years have undoubtedly been the best of my life and I’m excited about the fact that I (should) still have another year left here at Leicester.
I’m looking forward to the future. Throughout June I will be in Italy not doing a whole lot, taking the famous Italian saying il bel far niente (the beauty of doing nothing) pretty literally. After that I have a summer internship which will keep me busy for a month or so. Then my graduation. Then I’ll be starting my new part time job and my Master’s degree. It’s weird to think that in about a year’s time I will be completely finished with higher education.
Now all I have to do is wait to hear back about my results. In the meantime I’m going to be keeping myself busy with all this relaxing. Until next time!
