With A-level results day not too long ago, thousands of students all across the UK will be preparing to go to university. Hopefully it was one of their choice but if not I hope they are able to find a happy alternative. To all those lucky enough to earn a spot on the Natural Science course I want to say congratulations and a big welcome to the course! I’ll be writing another blog on making the most of the course and top tips for surviving it but for now I want all the newcomers to enjoy the moment. Whether this will be your first university experience or if you’re a seasoned veteran of higher education the University of Leicester and the Natural Science course have a lot to offer.
In order to get a better understanding of the course, be sure to carefully read through any preparatory material sent to you and feel free to look over any previous blogs that I or other Nat-Sci bloggers have written. Channel your inner Dora and go exploring through fresher’s fair for all the extra-curricular opportunities at Leicester. And have a look at Leicester University groups on social media (e.g. the Student’s Union, societies etc).
Once again, congratulations for getting into the Natural Science course at Leicester and I hope that from start to finish you all enjoy your university experience.
Wishing you the best of luck!
