Sorry I’ve been away for soooo long I didn’t want to do another post too soon after the mega ERASMUS one and since then I’ve been on holiday, which was lovely.
Anyway after arriving back to a distinctly flooded West Yorkshire I have set about the task of getting a summer job. This is essentially the same as looking for a graduate job but your sparkling and lovely academic grades which you’ve flogged your guts out now for the vast majority of your life are worth very little. Which is a shame. However, I will plug on and will keep you updated on my progress!
In other news I am back in Leicester for the first time in far too long this Tuesday! Much as I’ve loved my year abroad it will be good to get back to LE2 (as everyone calls it) and see the glorious, architectural majesty of the Charles Wilson once more! And I am informed there have been significant changes to campus since I was last there. There are new sports facilities both on campus and up at Oadby, a new Med school is due to be commenced I think and there’s a new bike shed (hard to believe the last one I know)!
It’s weird and exciting how already, in the 4 years since I first came on a Leicester Open Day, the little model of the future campus I saw then is already starting to take shape around us. All I can say is that I’m very thankful I’ve been able to use some of them (library, SU) and jealous of all you future students who are going be even more spoilt!
