Well hello everyone!
As the blog suggests, it is now the official (ish!) British Summer Time. And, as a Law student, the fun DEFINITELY doesn’t stop here. Now is the time for work experience, mini-pupillages, vacation schemes, internships, clerking, marshalling, studying abroad and a whole mixed bag of other things!
Without wishing to go all unnecessarily serious – as that is not what blogging is about! – sometimes the extra effort you put in during the time you are at Law School makes you all the more employable. This is not to lean towards the angle of “anyone can get a Law degree” as this is certainly not true, but more in the respect that whatever you can do to make yourself stand out will be all the better for future employability/opportunities – without compromising your studies of course….
But! For the meantime I will be enjoying a little bit of well-deserved TLC. I am quite happy with my exam results, and so it’s time to have a short break before getting back in the legal saddle once more. As Leicester is so close to Alton Towers, I paid a visit there a week or so ago. Definitely necessary.
And for the rest of my summer? Well…. there are some pretty exciting blogs coming this way soon..!
Please feel free, anyone, to ask any questions you have about Law at the University of Leicester to either myself or Owen – before we dissolve in post-exam bliss! Keep us on our toes please!
As many jokes as there are about the British summer, it was really lovely and sunny today and Wimbledon was pretty cracking too…..
Thanks Geraldine – Leicester will be lucky to have you!
Kind regards,
Harriet
