Top 5 Places To Be On Campus

1. Percy Gee Building (Student Union)

The Student Union or the ‘SU’ as it is most commonly referred to is, in my opinion, the best place to be on campus.

Why you might ask? One word. Starbucks. Unfortunately I have to admit that I like to indulge in a skinny hazelnut latté or caramel frappucino from time to time – which is code-word for every morning!!

2. Charles Wilson Building: Delic!ous

Another great place that I like to pop into from time to time is a food outlet called Del!cious. Located in the Charles Wilson Building – a building that many people think looks like a Transformer … what do you think?

Regardless, it has a really nice deli shop where you can buy fresh subs, sandwiches, soup, salads for really great prices.

3. Fielding Johnson Building

Fielding Johnson is home to the Law School. The best thing to find in Fielding Johnson is the Harry Peach Library. For all the reading you have to do, it is a useful sanctuary for law students. Furthermore, I guess I really like the library because it uncannily reminds me of the Restricted Section in Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone!

4. David Wilson Library

The David Wilson Library is the most modern building you’ll find on campus as it was only opened in 2008. Honestly, this library is a brilliant maze of computer rooms, group study rooms, silent study rooms, training rooms and more. Everything you need to actually get your work done, is provided for you which ultimately gives me no excuse for getting behind…

5. Victoria Park

Victoria Park neighbours the University and is a great place to relax. However, I would recommend that you visit when the weather is slightly more warmer. 😉

About Zara

Zara has now graduated from the University of Leicester. Hi! I’m Zara and I’m a commuting final year Law student. I am here to tell you all I can about what its like to study Law here at the University of Leicester. Also, I hope to show you that you can still manage, balance and enjoy University life, even if you are staying at home. I have an absolute passion for human rights, international law and all things Beyoncé! When I’m not listening to her (or studying of course), I enjoy getting involved in fundraising for various charities and making plans to travel the world. What about you?
