Earlier this year in March, the UNICEF on Campus society hosted a 1920s themed ball. It was an amazing night where countless months of hard work and planning with the rest of the committee members led to a successful night to remember. From fabulous performances by the DanceSport and Burlesque societies, being able to enjoy an indulgent chocolate fountain as well as announcing that the efforts of students at the University of Leicester raised over £1000 for UNICEF UK – I think its safe to say Jay Gatsby would be incredibly proud of what we achieved!! As I was re-elected Vice President, I will also be involved in the planning and creation of the next main event. I’m really excited about it so a clue I will give you is ‘Pure Imagination.’
If you have an idea of what we could be planning, please comment at the bottom of the page!! 😉
Below are a few snaps I have from the ball:
At the University of Leicester, there are a variety of societies that you can get involved in. The choice ranges from charities, sports and even the adventurous (Quidditch Society anyone?), thus I can guarantee you will never be bored.
To find out more about the various societies you can join as a student at the University of Leicester, please visit the Student’s Union’s page here.
