Hi everyone!
Its astonishing how quickly a year flies by as it only feels like a short while ago since I wrote my last Halloween blog post. Nonetheless, this year, I will spare you all from suffering, once more, from the wrath of my terrifying Halloween puns!
Furthermore, as I have been re-elected as Vice President for the UNICEF on Campus society, my friends and I baked up a storm in order to provide the students at the University of Leicester with a feast of magical Halloween treats. After my disastrous attempt of making orange icing last year, I was dedicated to improve on the baking front.
Whilst my friends made a variety of goods such as rice krispie squares, marble loafs, cupcakes and so many cookies, I set out to make the spookiest gingerbread men of all time. Thankfully, my perseverance and ability to measure the ingredients correctly appeared to pay off and I have to admit that they looked great and tasted amazing.
Well, I better get to bed so I can deliver all these goods to the stall on time! For those of you who are curious to know how the bake sale goes… I will be posting an update very soon.
Lastly, if you would like to know more about the UNICEF on Campus society, or any other society at the University of Leicester (I must warn you that there is a lot!), take a look at the Student Union’s website. Also, for my explanation as to why fundraising is such an important element for law students, please read this post.
I wish you all a Happy Halloween!
