The forecast of a blanket of beautiful wintry snow gracing the rooftops is often received by many with excited anticipation. However, for commuters, the winter weather is not as joyful as it may look! The UK, is infamous for its ‘unique’ response to the arrival of even the slightest amount of snow. Thus, any commuter has to prepare themselves for the risk of delays when travelling around the country.
Thankfully, I have to admit that in all the years that I have commuted to the University of Leicester, I have never experienced any significant problems.
For a more in depth insight into my experience of being a commuting student, take a look at my selection of ‘Commuter Diary’ posts below:

In all honesty, I am in the third year of being a commuting student and even with hindsight, I would not change a thing. Hopefully, from looking at my experiences over the past year, you can see that you can definitely have a brilliant University experience if you are commuting. Something that I would like everyone to know is that your University life is what you decide to make of it because there is truly no ‘normal’ student experience.’
