Sometimes I feel that Segmentation (marketing concept) is a survival instinct of human beings; people create groups – religious and non-religious, because it creates niche space for themselves. If we look at the caste system of India, where each vocation has a caste, validates the above point of view.
Bobby has now graduated from the University of Leicester. I am doing MBA by Distance Learning; completed the core modules; based in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and working for a retail chain as Manager, Internal audit. I like travelling and reading non-fictional books. I have been writing blogs on contemporary issues in MSN and thought of writing blogs for the student community. I think that MBA is a great course to understand the business from a Managerial perspective - thinking strategically and using the resources of the organisation to further its goals. My accounting background gave me skills in analysing and looking at things from a control point of view; I was looking to do a course that gives a wholistic view of the business rather than from the point of view of an expert. I am loving the course; so far, I am happy about the skill that I am learning especially the presentation skill, the reconciliatory tone, that there is no one best way of doing things, the practicalities of doing business - the competition and how to deal with it. My blogs will include topics that are related to business, organisations, and the economy.
